AMRC Return for Atlantic Engineers Lawrence and Evan
by Atlantic Pumps AdminFormer apprentices Lawrence Ward and Evan Biggin returned to the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at the University of Sheffield on Thursday afternoon to meet with the Engineers of tomorrow at the centres’ Careers Fair.
The fair coincided with National Apprenticeship Week and the two Engineers, along with Atlantic Design Engineer Bobby Brailsford (MEng AMIMechE) – a University of Sheffield graduate, were on hand to offer advice, answer any questions and give an insight into their roles at Atlantic.
Atlantic have worked closely with the AMRC for a number of years now and as a company we have always been committed to employing young people in the industry and investing in the next generation of British engineering.
Along with Mike Young, our apprentices have gone on to become well-regarded, key members of the Operations team, developing their skills in-house alongside their college education.
Talking about the value of apprenticeships, Managing Director Andy Smith said "This is an excellent route in to high value employment and we now have a strong track record of developing highly skilled engineers, well set up for life".

As in previous years, we’re looking to add another apprentice to our Operations team at Carrwood Road - in this instance, a Fitter. For full details on how to apply, please click here. The closing date to apply is 28th February 2023.
