Maxey Quarry is situated in Peterborough and is owned by Tarmac Ltd. Atlantic Pumps were contacted by Assistant Quarry Manager, Craig Leigh in May 2017.

Mr. Leigh informed us that the sites Linatex pump had failed and was severely leaking from the gland and sent us these dramatic images to illustrate the issue.

Quite clearly the leak required immediate intervention from the Atlantic team. If not addressed quickly the water would damage the centrifugal pump, possible beyond repair, plus other nearby equipment and force a potentially lengthy period of downtime.

Previous contact with Mr. Leigh and a site visit had made us familiar with the Linatex pump and we were able to supply our client with a quote plus source and dispatch the required parts immediately.

Our rapid response ensured Mr. Leigh received the parts within a few hours thus keeping downtime to an absolute minimum and averting the need to replace costly equipment.

Whether its enquiries or deliveries, questions or queries, our founding principle is to respond to customers’ needs as quickly and as practically as possible. Our ability to serve our clients quickly is not only down to our well-trained, knowledgeable staff but our extensive, varied stock of pumps and parts, all housed here at our Sheffield-based warehouse. In the vast majority of cases, orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the very same day.

Why not add our phone number to your phone in case of an emergency? Should you have a pump breakdown or experience flooding issues call 0800 118 2500.
