Sustained growth plan sees the new position of Financial Controller at Atlantic Pumps filled by John Longley, an experienced chartered accountant who is no stranger to the company.
A Fellow of the ICAEW, John brings valuable experience from his work for multiple SMEs as a chartered accountant and former partner of a well-reputed accountancy practice.
“I qualified as a chartered accountant in 2010 and worked in a Sheffield accountancy practice for over eighteen years, seven of those at partner level. In that time, I acted for and advised a range of clients, of varying sizes, from small sole traders through to £25 million plus turnover companies, across a mix of industries and services.”

Already a familiar face at Atlantic Pump’s head office, John explains his journey: “One of those clients was Atlantic Pumps, whom I acted for and supported from their first day, and have worked with for over a decade, as they expanded rapidly to the size they are today. I’m really looking forward to being a part of such an ambitious, hard-working, and successful team here, as the business embarks on its journey to grow further and keep delivering on its goal to be the most responsive pump company in the world.”
Having John dedicated to Atlantic Pumps in this full-time capacity allows the company to continue its rapid, yet sustainable, growth through strong financial control and data-driven decision-making.
Bill Noakes, Finance Director, said, “I’m delighted to welcome John Longley to Atlantic Pumps to spearhead this new role of Financial Controller. His appointment strengthens our finance team and provides us with the additional expertise needed to support our ambitious growth plans.
