Clean Water Pumps
End suction centrifugal pumps offer energy efficiency, fast flow-rates and high head pressure for clean water pumping. Clean water pumps differ from slurry pumps, and even dirty-water pumps, to optimise their cost effectiveness in purchase and operation. Clean water allows for tighter tolerances and lighter-weight construction, and the impellers are usually made in a closed format to increase flow performance.
Often, the most important factor to consider when choosing a pump for clear water and other thin fluids is the efficiency ratio. Put simply; how much of the input power (electrical energy) is converted into hydraulic power (pump performance). When a well-maintained centrifugal pump operates at its best efficiency point (BEP), the efficiency ratio can exceed 80%, especially when fitted with an energy-efficient IEC3 motor.
BEP (Best Efficiency Point) is the sweet spot for centrifugal pumps, which makes matching your desired flow-rate and head height with the right pump size important for maximum efficiency.
