Toro
Process Pumps for specialist industrial requirements

Developed for improved wear-life, energy efficiency, and ease of maintenance, Toro provide a better pump for niche process fluids.
Experiencing high maintenance, short pump life, or soaring energy consumption on your process pumps?
Toro centrifugal and progressive cavity pumps cover you for chemical corrosion, abrasive pastes, high-dry matter centrate, high-pressure proces water, and heat passurised sludge.
Each pump has carefully selected materials, geometry, and built-in features designed to excel above the status quo, whatever the targeted application.
Toro has only one mission – to build a better pump.
For any pump to bear the Toro name, it must overcome the shortcomings of any existing alternative.
This pursuit has resulted in the formation of two distinct pump families; the Toro centrifugal process pumps and the Toro-Kronoa Progressive cavity pump range. While these pump types have been on the market for years, they have traditionally been expensive and complex to maintain in challenging media and certain duties.
Pumps can fail for many different reasons, and each application has it own challenges.
Toro Centrifgual process pumps are engineered to solve issues in high-volume, high-head transfers of corrosive, low-viscosity liquids and chemicals.
The Toro progressive cavity (PC) pumps excel in high-pressure, high dry matter and abbrasive sludge duties, outlasting other PC pumps with their advanced design features and exceptional build quality.
TORO T-Line Progressive Cavity Pump
Toro – powered by Kronoa. Toro and Kronoa joined forces to produce a progressive cavity pump that solves all the challenges encoutered by PC pumps operating in heavy-duty applications; food waste, AD digestion, agricultural feed and slurry processing, biogas co-substrates and industrial feedstocks.
Duty Overview
Max Pressure: 10 – 24 bar
Max Flow rate: 55 – 150m3/h
Suction lift: -0.8 bar (vertical suction lift model also available)
DM content: 18 – 40%
Solids passage size:
Most standard PC pumps have a long, low pitch which restricts the maximum solids size, accelerates wear, and strains transmission joints. The TORO-Kronoa premium PC pump has a longer-pitch screw design which while more costly to manufacture, saves money for operators by preventing blockage, damage and wear from larger solids.
Rapid rotation brings rapid wear:
Another advantage to the shorter pitch design is that rotation speed is slower and pressure capability is increased. This results in less rotations, making an instant win for maintenance and longevity in any application. Couple that with material options like phosphate coated cast parts, stainless steel, NBR elastomer, and cataphoresis coating options and you have a pump with all-round greater service-life.
Shaft wear and replacement issues.
An advanced dual carden shaft and lubricated needle roller bearings negates alignment and torsion issues that traditionally cause rapid wear. A shaft locking device, large access hatches, and modular drive shaft covered with a reinforced protective rubber sleeve increases MTBF and speeds up maintenance. Double row bearings absorb the axial and radial loads, reducing fatigue, while a silicon carbide oil-lubricated cartridge sealing system protects the shaft surface from damage.
Hopper feed, Stone-trap, Bio-mix homogeniser, Particule crusher, High-Temp, High Pressure (24 bar) options and add-ons.
